Lead Veterinary Surgeon Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at GLG Vets in Eccleston. This role offers a unique chance for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional veterinary care and thrive in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality veterinary care and treatment to a diverse range of animals.
  • Perform routine check-ups, surgeries, and emergency care as required, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration with the veterinary team.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
  • Ensure the clinic runs efficiently and effectively during your shifts, prioritizing patient care and team well-being.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Veterinary degree (MRCVS or equivalent) and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Experience in both routine and emergency veterinary care, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and well-being.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine.
Shift Details:

This role is full-time, working 39 hours per week over 4 days. Weekend shifts will be either 1:3 half weekends or 1:6 full weekends, depending on your preference.

Salary and Benefits:

Competitive salary package of £64,000 per year, plus a generous CPD allowance to support ongoing training and professional development.
