Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer to join our team at Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities- Support senior managers with all aspects of procurement and tendering for designated projects, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Administer procurement systems, including e-tendering and contracts management, to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes.
- Monitor and obtain risk and credit reports on suppliers, as required, to ensure the integrity of our procurement processes.
- Maintain a pipeline of procurements for designated categories, ensuring timely and effective delivery of goods and services.
- Support senior managers with contract monitoring and management, ensuring standards are met and processes are followed.
- Qualified to degree level (MCIPS or equivalent) or significant experience in a relevant sector, ideally procurement and supply.
- Experience of managing procurement processes, preferably in a public sector environment.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and demonstrate effective planning and organizational skills.
- IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
