Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated support staff member to join our team at Supply Desk. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers to create and deliver engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Develop a holistic approach to meeting the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students, working closely with teachers, other support staff, families, and external agencies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans, Risk Assessments, Personal Care, and Therapy Care programs for designated students.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a willingness to work with children with SEN.
  • Good knowledge of SEN and a passion to develop your skills in this area.
  • Able to manage challenging behavior and work effectively in a team.
  • Commitment to working fixed days, full or part-time.
  • A clear and valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Relevant training to support students with learning difficulties.
  • Able to commute to the designated areas.
