About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dynamic and passionate MFL Teacher to join our vibrant school in Braintree. As an MFL Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in languages such as French, Spanish, or others, across KS3 and KS4. You will help students develop their language skills while encouraging an appreciation for different cultures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality language lessons that adhere to the National Curriculum.
  • Inspire students to engage with languages, developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters language learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the MFL curriculum and support cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Organize cultural events and activities to enrich the students' learning experience.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching one or more modern foreign languages at secondary level across KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language education.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a requirement for an enhanced DBS check.
