MFL Teacher Job Description

About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate MFL Teacher to join our team at a vibrant school in Braintree. As an MFL Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging language lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, fostering a love for cultural diversity and developing their language skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality language lessons that meet the National Curriculum requirements.
  • Inspire students to engage with languages, developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes language learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the MFL curriculum and support cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Organize cultural events and activities to enrich the students' learning experience.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching one or more modern foreign languages at secondary level across KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language education.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage students.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a requirement for an enhanced DBS check.
