Key Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Development: Design, prepare, and deliver captivating lessons in Humanities disciplines including History, Geography, and Religious Studies.
  • Student Assessment: Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods such as assignments, examinations, and projects.
  • Feedback Provision: Offer constructive feedback to enhance student learning and growth.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain precise records of attendance, academic performance, and grades.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside colleagues to foster a vibrant and inclusive educational atmosphere.
Qualifications Required:

A recognized teaching qualification is essential.

Educational Background:

A degree in a relevant Humanities field is required.

Experience Needed:

Previous experience teaching Humanities subjects at the secondary education level is necessary.

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Thorough understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment criteria.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Inspiring teaching approach that motivates students.
  • Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage workload.
Preferred Qualifications:

A postgraduate qualification in Education is advantageous.

Work Environment:

This role is situated within a school setting, adhering to the academic calendar and schedule. Participation in extracurricular activities or parent meetings may be required on occasion.

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
