Position: Lead Pastry Artisan

Location: Lymington, UK
Compensation: £33,000 – £35,000 per annum + tips (12% gratuity shared among staff)
Working Hours:
  • Straight Shifts: Starting from 11am and concluding around 9-10pm
  • Ideal for non-drivers with accessible public transport options
  • No Split Shifts
  • Flexibility required to work 5 out of 7 days, including bank holidays

Role Overview:

This position is based in Lymington, UK. Workforce People Solutions Ltd offers assistance for relocation if necessary.

The Lead Pastry Artisan will be tasked with crafting exceptional pastries, desserts, and baked goods that align with our high standards for flavor and presentation.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for baking, meticulous attention to detail, and a creative approach that enhances our dessert offerings.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head Chef in overseeing and coordinating kitchen operations.
  • Innovate and develop new pastry recipes and dessert selections.
  • Prepare and bake a diverse range of pastries, desserts, and breads.
  • Ensure uniformity in taste and presentation of all pastry creations.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized kitchen while adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Supervise the work of pastry assistants and other kitchen personnel.
  • Manage inventory and procure supplies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to design complementary desserts for menu items.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a similar role.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of baking techniques and pastry-making methods.
  • Creative and artistic skills for dessert decoration and presentation.
  • Strong time management abilities and capacity to perform under pressure.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Capability to manage and mentor kitchen staff; effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a high-end restaurant or bakery environment; familiarity with modern dessert plating and presentation techniques; knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
