Position Overview:

Compensation:
Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 per annum + tips (12% gratuity shared among staff)

Working Hours:
  • 1. Straight Shifts – Starting from 11am and concluding around 9-10pm
  • 2. Ideal for non-drivers with accessible public transport options
  • 3. No Split Shifts
  • 4. Flexibility required to work 5 out of 7 days, including bank holidays

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations.
  • Innovate and create new pastry recipes and dessert offerings.
  • Prepare and bake a diverse range of pastries, desserts, and breads.
  • Ensure uniformity in taste and presentation across all pastry items.
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen while adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Supervise pastry assistants and other kitchen personnel.
  • Manage inventory and procure supplies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen staff to design complementary desserts for the menu.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a similar role.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
  • In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and pastry-making processes.
  • Artistic skills for decorating and presenting desserts effectively.
  • Excellent time management abilities and capacity to perform under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to lead and train kitchen staff; effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a high-end restaurant or bakery environment.
  • Familiarity with modern dessert plating and presentation techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
