Job Description

Our client, a leading commercial organisation supporting the public sector, is seeking a skilled Procurement Lawyer to join their legal team. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to shape the organisation's long-term procurement strategies and contribute to the design and implementation of a commercial compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies that align with the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, providing guidance on processes and controls to ensure the highest standards of governance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Public Contract Regulations, horizon scanning for the organisation, and ensuring that the category team operates to the highest standards.
  • Support the implementation of new standard procurement documents and represent the legal function at meetings of the Category Decision Forum and Category Management Forum.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience within a private practice or in-house environment practicing in a relevant area.
  • Extensive experience of procurement law and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to engage with and involve a wide range of stakeholders and seniority across the supply chain.
What We Offer:
  • A hybrid opportunity requiring 2 days a week working from one of our offices and 3 days working from home.
  • A competitive salary from £57,000 with an excellent benefits package, including a performance bonus, 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, and a generous pension scheme.
