Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Additional Support Needs Assistant to join our team at North Lanarkshire Council. As an ASNA, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a broad range of additional needs in their school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist children with their daily needs, including personal hygiene and care
- Support children in the classroom, including preparation of materials and setting up teaching aids
- Record programs and perform reprographic work as required
- Provide daily reception and departure of children, as well as messenger or escort duties
Requirements
- Recent experience working with children in a voluntary or school setting
- Good communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Ability to undertake training as required
- Desirable: experience working with children/young people who have additional needs, qualifications in Standard grade/O-grade English and Maths/Arithmetic
