Job Title: Graduate Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Coyle Personnel. As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for working on various projects related to industrial water systems, including project engineering, equipment specification, and site work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specifying and purchasing of equipment, progressing its manufacture & delivery, ensuring its quality and compliance with the Company's and clients' specifications (where appropriate) and our quotation.
  • Production of general contract documentation including Equipment Schedules, Data Sheets, etc.
  • Production of Health & Safety documentation including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH assessments, Safety Instructions, etc.
  • Providing periodic technical support for a small number of other clients with both water and wastewater treatment plants of various types.
  • Assisting in the bringing to market, sales, support and servicing of new water/wastewater treatment products & technologies.
  • Day-to-day liaison with client & contractors.
  • Commercial & technical negotiations with suppliers.
  • Not essential, but advantageous - Drawing work as required, mainly involving the use of a software design package such as AutoCAD (subject to capability).
Post-Contract Site Work Includes:
  • Organising and receiving equipment deliveries.
  • Installation supervision.
  • Day-to-day liaison with client & contractors.
  • Plant commissioning process/electrical/mechanical, which will require familiarity with PLC-based control systems.
  • On-site pre-commissioning electrical checks.
  • Production of Method Statements, Risk Assessments and working with Permit systems.
  • Providing periodic technical support for a small number of other clients with both water and wastewater treatment plants of various types.
Pre-Contract Responsibilities:
  • Specifying equipment requirements.
  • Preparation of detailed designs as part of the post-contract team.
  • Site visits as appropriate / Collection of information for quotation preparation.
