Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. The successful candidate will work alongside our qualified Occupational Therapy staff to provide a high-quality clinical service to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Attend daily unit huddles and planning meetings with the OT team.
  • Work alongside education staff to support young people.
  • Organise, plan, and run sessions and therapeutic activities.
  • Ensure admin duties are completed to a satisfactory manner.
  • Be responsible for ordering provisions, resources, and other items for activities.
  • Be confident in working in the community, including assessments, shopping, and observations.
  • Be creative and comfortable working with young people and adaptable.
  • Be interactive, approachable, and dynamic.
  • Show initiative.

Person Specification
  • Fluent in both oral and written English.

  • Facilitating therapeutic groups and individual interventions.
  • Working within a team.
