Job Title: Vehicle Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team at FedEx. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and trailers to ensure they are safe, legal, and fit for duty.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and complete service records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and rectify vehicle defects, and perform ad-hoc repairs as needed.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of all tools, plant, and equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards and perform other duties as deemed reasonable by management.
Requirements:
  • Fully skilled with applicable licenses and vocational training (e.g., LGV C&E license).
  • City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 or equivalent in commercial vehicle repairs.
  • Knowledge of automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting equipment.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle components.
  • Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driving license and previous experience in a similar role.
