About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive SEN school in Halton. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to students with a range of special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Promote positive behaviour and social interactions, supporting students with emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Help students with personal care tasks, where required, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the day.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor and assess student progress.
Requirements
  • Previous school experience and familiarity with the SIMS system.
  • A committed professional with a passion for supporting students with SEN.
  • An organised, enthusiastic, and proactive individual.
  • A child workforce enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, or a willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Satisfactory references.
  • A CV that covers the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
