Job Title: Generator Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Generator Engineer to join our team at Blue Arrow - Burton on Trent. As a Generator Engineer, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance and repair of commercial diesel generators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on generators to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on commercial diesel generators.
  • Travel to client sites for urgent repair needs and perform maintenance tasks as required.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to order parts and equipment.
  • Conduct final safety inspections of generators prior to delivery.
  • Assist the operations team with additional repair, maintenance, and cleaning tasks to ensure timely delivery schedules are met.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing commercial diesel generators.
  • Familiarity with regular generator maintenance protocols.
  • Capability to install plumbing and electrical components.
  • Willingness to assist the operations team with fabrication and cleaning tasks during downtime.
  • Experience with brands such as Stephill, Genquip, or AJC would be beneficial.
  • Previous welding skills would be beneficial.
