Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Community Mental Health Team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a skilled Registered Nursing Associate to work with individuals with severe and enduring mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities

As a Registered Nursing Associate, you will work as a Keyworker within our multidisciplinary team, managing a caseload of service users with complex needs. Your duties will include developing care plans, delivering evidence-based interventions, and managing risks in the community.

You will also be required to undertake the role of team duty worker, responding to unplanned patient work, and managing escalation of risk/crisis situations. Additionally, you will be encouraged to develop your own specialist knowledge and competence through clinical supervision, management supervision, team/peer support, internal and external training opportunities, and the Trust's appraisal process.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Nursing Associate Foundation Degree
  • On-going registration with the NMC
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development that supports clinical practice
  • Can demonstrate an understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments
  • Can demonstrate a working knowledge of physical health conditions and the complications that this can cause to patients experiencing mental ill health
  • Experience of assessing, planning, implementing, and reviewing care needs
  • Working experience within acute Mental Health Services
