Job Title: Field and Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Field and Service Technician to join our team at Orion Electrotech Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing field service support for bus transmission systems, diagnosing and fixing problems at customer locations, and replacing large parts or systems when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for bus transmission systems at customer locations
  • Diagnose and repair problems with bus transmission systems
  • Replace large parts or systems when necessary
  • Work with the sales team to promote product performance and share service opportunities
  • Offer technical support and advice to sales staff
  • Build and maintain good relationships with customers
  • Report safety issues to Health & Safety managers
  • Work with customers to minimize vehicle downtime
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental guidelines
  • Complete jobs at company workshops when required
  • Finish paperwork and engineering reports on time
  • Manage work expenses and keep track of stock levels
  • Maintain company vehicles according to policies
  • Perform stock checks and share product knowledge with colleagues
  • Be ready to work flexible hours, including extra or unsociable hours when needed
  • Report any quality issues during work assignments
  • Stay up to date with assigned training programs
  • Always represent the company in a positive and professional manner
Requirements:
  • Completed engineering apprenticeship as minimum, level 5 qualification (or higher)/HND/HNC, DipHE
  • Background in field services and engineering
  • Experience with electric vehicles
  • Excellent diagnostic capabilities
  • Good IT skills
  • Full UK driving licence
