Job Title: Field Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Orion Electrotech. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our customers in the North of the M25 region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide field service support for bus transmission systems
  • Diagnose and fix problems at customer locations and other sites
  • Replace large parts or systems when needed
  • Help introduce new products to the market
  • Work with the sales team to promote product performance and share service opportunities
  • Offer technical support and advice to sales staff
  • Build and keep good relationships with customers
  • Report safety issues to Health & Safety managers
  • Work with customers to minimize vehicle downtime
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental guidelines
  • Complete jobs at company workshops when required
  • Finish paperwork and engineering reports on time
  • Manage work expenses and keep track of stock levels
  • Maintain company vehicles according to policies
  • Perform stock checks and share product knowledge with colleagues
  • Be ready to work flexible hours, including extra or unsociable hours when needed
  • Report any quality issues during work assignments
  • Stay up to date with assigned training programs
  • Always represent the company in a positive and professional manner
Requirements:
  • Completed engineering apprenticeship as minimum, level 5 qualification (or higher)/HND/HNC, DipHE
  • Background in field services and engineering Experience with electric vehicles
  • Excellent diagnostic capabilities
  • Good IT skills
  • Full UK driving licence
