About the Role
NHS Professionals Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team in a Mental Health Specialist role. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality care to individuals in acute mental health crisis.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend multi-disciplinary team meetings to screen service users for OT assessment and intervention
- Complete functional needs assessments for service users and make necessary onward referrals and treatment plans
- Deliver OT interventions in service users' homes or in crisis beds at the Salford Listening Lounge
- Engage with carers and significant others in response to identified needs
- Contribute to monitoring the quality of work in own service area through active involvement in clinical supervision and reporting any performance/quality issues and related risks
Person Specification
- Hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- Be HCPC registered
- Practice in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal codes of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Trust and NHS protocols and guidelines
