Your Role: Data Analyst - Performance & Risk

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to providing critical insights that support Thames Water's operational efficiency and risk management. You will play a vital role in analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and developing actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data models to generate intelligence and insights that inform decision-making regarding asset performance and risk.
  • Collaborate with operational teams and stakeholders across the organization, sharing performance and risk insights to enhance asset health performance.
  • Create and deliver accurate and reliable operational performance reports, including regulatory reports, with comprehensive commentary.
  • Conduct in-depth performance and behavioral analysis of waste network assets, interpreting data to identify trends and risk factors. Present findings through clear visualizations and concise reports.
  • Leverage data insights and operational knowledge to develop interventions for delivery teams, focusing on improving asset operation and mitigating risks. Track the effectiveness of these interventions against planned outcomes.
  • Maintain existing data management processes, monitor key data quality metrics, and collaborate with functional experts and data engineers to resolve any issues. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and models.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong analytical background, including proficiency in Excel, MS Access, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Proven experience in a business or technical role involving data analysis.
  • Experience in preparing detailed management reports.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to understand the broader context of analytical tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and a self-driven approach to work.
