About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Thames Water. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of insight and data analysis within the UK's largest Water and Wastewater Company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with large data sets drawn from various internal and external sources, including environmental data, survey feedback, and operational data.
  • Design and interrogate databases, perform data transformations, and collaborate with the business to improve our ways of working.
  • Support the business and work with stakeholders to design, build, and maintain a range of reports.
  • Develop and maintain data quality, ensuring data is secure and properly utilized in line with the GDPR.
Requirements
  • A self-motivated logical individual with an analytical mindset.
  • Essential experience and knowledge of working with databases, data analysis, and reporting, or an in-depth understanding of operational data sets with a proven track record of adapting to technical challenges.
  • Ability to learn new tools and techniques quickly.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of SQL, Power BI, and Python, or the Azure data engineering ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of software such as Salesforce, R, Business Objects, and Microsoft Office Applications is beneficial.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £37,600 - £47,000 per annum, depending on skills and previous relevant experience.
  • 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with length of service, plus bank holidays.
