We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Distribution Manager to join our team at Excelsior Executive Search. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our distribution center operations.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Management System: Develop, maintain, and execute the DC Quality Management System in compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Culture of Quality: Promote a culture of quality across the local organization, ensuring management commitment and understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Quality Objectives: Establish and lead local site implementation of annual quality objectives and key business drivers for DC operations.
- Quality Organization: Manage and maintain an effective local quality organization, including training, development programs, subject matter expertise, and associate responsibilities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Serve as a Designated Representative to ensure day-to-day operations meet states' licensing requirements for medical device and/or wholesale drug distribution regulations.
- Metrics and Reporting: Utilize metrics and reporting to effectively monitor processes, report on performance, drive improvement, and provide cost savings to the business.
- Best Practices: Employ and share best practices and tools to accelerate continual quality improvement into DC organization locally and across the region.
- Inventory Management: Effectively evaluate and provide direction to the DC with inventory that has suspected damage and is at risk of being scrapped.
- Scrap Process: Oversee and monitor the scrap process to ensure compliance to procedure, timeline, and regulatory requirements.
- Returns and Rebox Operations: Manage and maintain effective returns and rebox operations that maximize value to the region and meet established performance metrics.
- Carrier Relations: Collaborate with transportation on carrier-related issues and drive claims to resolution where escalation is needed.
- Customer Relations: Partner with operations and supply chain relations on customer-related issues and drive claims to resolution where escalation is needed.
- Audits and Compliance: Conduct audits as required in compliance with regulatory requirements and represent quality as a member of the local DC leadership team.
- Travel and Training: Travel to support quality management and audit functions at other DC facilities and support customer visits to gain an understanding of customer issues.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience within quality, supply chain, manufacturing, and/or distribution.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, business or engineering major and/or MBA preferred.
- Leadership Skills: People leadership, project leadership, and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
