Primary Care Careers is seeking a skilled coding specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing incoming correspondence, filing documents, and entering pertinent information into the patient's electronic medical record.

Main Responsibilities

  • Review and process incoming correspondence, ensuring accurate and timely entry of information into the patient's electronic medical record.
  • Carry out required actions in accordance with the coding workflow protocol, with attention to quality and efficiency.
  • Highlight clinician action and workflow to appropriate clinicians or teams as per protocol.
  • Organize patient medical records to link problem titles and ensure accurate coding.
  • Recognize own knowledge limits and seek advice from clinical or administrative colleagues as needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks as delegated by the clinical lead and practice manager.
  • Undertake other reasonable tasks allocated by the practice manager or partners.
