At XPO Logistics, we are excited to announce an opening for an IT Procurement Administrator to become a vital part of our IT department. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to contribute to our team's success.

This position operates on a part-time schedule, Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 14:00, and encompasses a variety of administrative responsibilities that support our IT operations.

Compensation and Benefits:

We are pleased to offer a competitive salary of £32,000 per annum, pro-rated for 22.5 hours per week. Additionally, employees enjoy 25 days of holiday (pro-rated) along with bank holidays. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the IT Admin and Asset Manager with various functions including IT PMO, procurement, asset management, audits, and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of IT equipment for end users and project implementations.
  • Generate purchase orders for suppliers as needed, ensuring compliance with procurement protocols.
  • Address IT procurement inquiries effectively.
  • Manage payment-related queries.
  • Monitor receipt and expenditure against purchase orders raised.
  • Resolve cases and tasks from Service Now promptly.
  • Evaluate situations, challenges, and opportunities, escalating them when necessary.
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service operations processes for improved cost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support operational priorities and collaborate with other teams, such as EUC and Implementation, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Required: 2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement administration.
  • Required: Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical personnel at all organizational levels with confidence and respect.
  • Required: Experience working with users, including customers, internal teams, and third-party suppliers.
  • Required: Proficient in Excel, including skills in SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
  • Required: Ability to quickly learn and navigate various systems and portals.
  • Preferred: Capability to comprehend and translate user or customer business needs into IT deliverables.
  • Preferred: Experience in teamwork within IT, across the broader organization, and with customers and third-party suppliers.
