Position Title: Water Treatment Engineer

Company Overview:

Velocity Recruitment is a prominent player in the facilities management sector, seeking a skilled water treatment engineer to enhance our operations.

The selected engineer will oversee the management and functionality of water systems, ensuring a reliable and safe water supply throughout the facilities.

Key responsibilities include ensuring water safety, monitoring quality, and resolving any arising issues effectively.


Core Responsibilities:
  • Perform water quality tests to guarantee compliance with safety standards.
  • Examine and maintain all equipment related to water systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on water treatment machinery.
  • Provide expert advice on water safety and health regulations.
  • Comply with and implement all relevant health and safety regulations during operations.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational safety protocols, including safe access to water systems and proper chemical handling.
  • Maintain a secure environment for all building occupants during water treatment activities, including appropriate signage and notifications.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of operational practices, focusing on safety improvements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of water treatment programs and suggest enhancements.
  • Keep all necessary statutory documentation regarding water systems up to date.
  • Support project managers in ensuring compliance with local regulatory standards.
  • Engage in water facility audits and project evaluations.
  • Assist in compiling audit findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Provide guidance during incident investigations and root cause analyses for environmental issues.

Qualifications:
  • Competencies in Mechanical or Plumbing disciplines.
  • Legionella Awareness certification (L8).
  • Experience in Facilities Management or Building Maintenance.
