About the Role

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our Financial Crime team at Starling Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in identifying problems and proposing solutions using data-driven insights.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the financial crime and onboarding teams to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven solutions
  • Design and implement robust data models using dbt to support business decisions
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations in Looker to provide insights into financial crime trends
  • Perform data analysis to identify patterns and trends in financial crime data
  • Work closely with the wider data team to ensure data quality and integrity
Requirements
  • Experience working with financial crime data and projects
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling
  • Experience with Python and data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of data architecture and dimensional modeling
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience with dbt or similar data modeling tools
