Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Clinician to join our team at the Ministry of Defence. As a Band 7 clinician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to our service population, leading with change, and monitoring and improving clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver care for the Defence service population, leading with change and monitoring and improving clinical standards through supervision, evidence-based practice, clinical audit, research, and education.
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, supervision, and development of junior clinical and administrative staff within Occupational Health.
  • Support the delivery of a peripatetic Occupational Health service, requiring travel between base locations and assigned units.
  • Manage your own clinical caseload and proactively support Service Personnel.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and engage in Performance Appraisal Development Review (PADR) development.
  • Provide clinical advice and training on the clinical value of Occupational Health to other members of the multidisciplinary team and external agencies/organisations as requested.
  • Provide specialist, person-centred care that considers safety, privacy, and dignity using advanced clinical knowledge.
Essential Criteria
  • Current and in-depth clinical and management experience within Occupational Health.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development and the practical application of new skills to the workplace.
  • Current certificate of Hepatitis B, Rubella, measles, and Varicella immunity.
  • Current driving licence, as this role is peripatetic and cannot be delivered using public transport.
Requirements
  • A Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist with current registration with an appropriate governing and regulatory body (National Midwifery Council (NMC) / Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)).
