Personal Care Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide support to a lady with limited mobility in her home in North Walsham.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with personal care, including showering, dressing, and hair care. They will also support transfers to and from a motorised wheelchair and assist with shopping and participation in voluntary and social activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing, and hair care.
  2. Support transfers to and from a motorised wheelchair.
  3. Assist with shopping and participation in voluntary and social activities.
  4. Help with food preparation, cooking meals from scratch, and light housework.
  5. Assist with paperwork, telephone calls, and general household administration.
Requirements
  1. Sense of humour.
  2. Adaptable to the lady's condition.
  3. Physically capable.
  4. Able to work on own initiative.
  5. Full driving licence and able to drive a manual Motability car.
Terms and Conditions
  1. Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour.
  2. Hours: 18 hours per week at flexible times plus additional hours for holiday cover.
  3. 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata paid leave, inclusive of bank holidays.
Post Requirements
  1. A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
  2. Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
