Electrical Engineer Job Description

Our client, a leading Oil & Gas Operator, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their onshore Maintenance team in the Southern North Sea.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of electrical generation and distribution systems (up to 11kV) across all assets.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and graduates to provide daily electrical support to operational activities.
  • Oversee and support day-to-day maintenance of facility electrical systems, ensuring compliance with BS EN 60079 for hazardous area equipment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Electrical Maintenance Strategy, focusing on integrity management of electrical equipment.
  • Promote the use of best technology to enhance production efficiency, control spending, and ensure best value from suppliers and contractors.
  • Manage and support electrical modifications and project operations, ensuring effective and safe execution in compliance with the Management of Change process.
  • Ensure adherence to company performance standards and HSE legislation. Conduct internal audits, onsite assurance surveys, and review completed work orders.
  • Assess the competencies of Electrical Technicians and sign off against the Perenco UK competency framework.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power Generation industries.
