Penguin Recruitment is proud to be supporting a Local Authority in Derbyshire on the hire of a Development Management Team Leader (Grade 11). This is a full-time and permanent position (37 hours per week). Flexible working arrangements are in place, allowing for a balance of home and office work.

This position includes a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including a welcome payment and a relocation assistant scheme.

The main purpose of this role is to provide professional planning leadership and day-to-day operational management to staff within the Development Management Section, while maintaining an operational case load of predominantly major planning case work.

This position would be ideal for an experienced Principal Planning Officer looking for the next step in their career, or an existing Development Management Team Leader working with another Local Authority.

Requirements to Apply

- A relevant Town Planning qualification or a related discipline

- MRTPI

- Substantial Development Management experience

- Staff management experience

- Effective communicator

- Driving Licence and ability to visit sites throughout the council's area.
