Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head of Transport Management to join our team at NEP Group Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of road transport operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Management: Develop and implement effective transportation management strategies to optimize fleet performance, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant road transport regulations, including DVSA requirements, 'O' licence requirements, and HGV licensed driver regulations.
  • Vehicle and Driver Management: Oversee the maintenance and management of all company vehicles, including scheduling routine servicing, MOTs, and other necessary inspections.
  • Tachograph Analysis: Regularly analyze tachograph data to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with driver hour rules.
  • Driver Management: Manage a team of HGV licensed drivers, ensuring they are compliant with all relevant regulations and maintaining high standards of road safety and transport management.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with drivers, management, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transportation operations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation management, preferably with large fleets.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of road transport regulations, including DVSA requirements and HGV licensed driver regulations.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Qualifications: Good level of foundation education, including Maths and English, HGV driver licence, and full UK driving licence.
