SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are working with a primary school in Basildon, Essex, to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a long-term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide support to pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, working with groups to carry out valuable Phonics interventions. They will also assist students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Speech and Language issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Work with small groups to develop Phonics skills
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and students
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children, a passion for education, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should also be creative and confident in using their imagination to excite pupils.
