MAIN DUTIES
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of all clinical areas, including waiting rooms and supply storage.
- Facilitate communication between departments, including answering phones and relaying messages.
- Prepare and organize clinics, ensuring supplies are replenished as needed.
- Assist patients as required during their visits.
- Carry out tasks assigned by qualified staff members.
- Collaborate closely with the clinic team to ensure efficient operations.
- Welcome patients into waiting areas, confirming their check-in and providing necessary information.
- Support the care of patients and their families, directing them to other departments as needed.
- Maintain records related to patient visits as requested by medical or nursing staff.
- Assist in the observation and collection of specimens.
- Report any changes in patient conditions to qualified staff promptly.
- Liaise with wards and departments as necessary.
- Ensure the effective use of clinical supplies and proper decontamination of equipment.
- After appropriate training, assist in taking vital signs and documenting patient conditions.
- Ensure patients needing transport are directed to the appropriate waiting areas.
- Confirm that patients and caregivers understand medical instructions.
- Assist with booking arrangements for patient admissions as required.
- Support the monitoring of vital signs.
- Stay updated on resuscitation procedures through annual training.

- Under the supervision of the Nurse in Charge, perform clerical duties as needed.
- You may be required to work across various specialties, including clinics in ENT and Oral Surgery.
The responsibilities of the Decontamination Technician may vary depending on the clinic. However, it is the responsibility of qualified nursing staff to ensure that appropriate training is provided in line with the role's requirements.
