Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Project Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project controls team, you'll provide project controls services to our clients, which may include:

  • Creating and maintaining project schedules that support and align with project requirements.
  • Developing project schedules in conjunction with the project manager and project team.
  • Reducing uncertainty, knowing objectives, and improving efficiency.
  • Interacting with and assisting project managers to schedule work and coordinate assignments.
  • Evaluating project schedule progress and performance and identifying developing problem areas.
  • Assisting project managers to maintain timely and effective change management processes and procedures.
  • Assisting the project team to develop status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
  • Conducting analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.

Requirements

You'll have professional project controls experience, specializing in planning and scheduling in one or more sectors across the whole project lifecycle. A strong knowledge and proficiency with Primavera (P6) and other planning and resourcing software are essential. You'll be able to coordinate and work with other teams and have multi-disciplinary knowledge.

Essential:

  • Have a degree in a relevant technical or management field or suitable equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • Be a member of a relevant professional body, such as the Association for Project Management or the Project Management Institute.
  • Have strong leadership skills with the ability to mobilize, inspire, and lead by example.
  • Have strong stakeholder management experience.

Additional Information

Owing to the specialist and sensitive nature of the work we carry out for some of our clients, candidates will ideally hold security clearance or be able to obtain and maintain security clearance, through being a sole British National. You must also be open to a reasonable amount of travel, subject to project and client location, as well as working from home and office.

SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
