An exciting opportunity has emerged for a General Maintenance Operative to work with one of the UK's premier facilities management firms, primarily serving the Falkirk region.
This role encompasses a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple sites, focusing on building upkeep and ensuring that services and expenses remain in-house. Experience in commercial environments, especially within the retail industry, would be highly beneficial.
The responsibilities include a combination of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responsive building tasks, both inside and outside the premises, which involve:
- Building Maintenance
- Roof - addressing leaks and conducting quarterly gutter and drainage clean-ups
- Brickwork - performing repairs on walls
- Flooring - fixing vinyl and ceramic tiles
- Parking lot and yard maintenance
- Roller shutters - conducting annual PPM and reactive repairs
- Painting and Decorating
- Executing minor painting touch-ups
- Plumbing and Drainage
- Clearing blockages in drains, urinals, toilets, and sinks
- Fixing leaking taps and washers
