Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Compliance Specialist to join our team at SGS. As a global leader in sustainability, quality, and integrity, we are dedicated to fostering a safer, more connected world.

About the Role: The ideal candidate will have a background in high-hazardous environments or chemical and gas management. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and facilitating HSE compliant activities to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Leading or contributing to investigations into hazards and dangerous occurrences, and reviewing comprehensive incident recording.
  • Initiating and coordinating the development and review of policies and procedures to maintain a compliant and safe work environment.
  • Working in partnership with business partners and site managers to ensure effective implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
  • Completing toolbox talks to ensure all employees are aware of HSE policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining and delivering the internal QHSSE audit programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements: The successful candidate will possess a NEBOSH Certificate, British Safety Council Diploma in Safety Management, or equivalent. Relevant internal auditor qualification or experience is also required. A full UK driving license is essential.

Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience operating within a diverse service organization, working within certified management systems, and inspection and auditing.
