Position Overview:

As a Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the commissioning of advanced electrical systems for cutting-edge naval vessels. This position offers a flexible working environment, allowing for a balance between on-site and remote work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine commissioning tasks with minimal oversight while ensuring adherence to safety protocols in high-risk settings.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineering teams and operational units, to guarantee compliance and safety in all activities.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
  • Prepare, author, and review design and testing documentation, maintaining accurate records as mandated by company policies and legal requirements.
  • Represent the organization during Factory Acceptance Tests and other critical evaluations, which may involve travel.
  • Ensure that all assigned tasks align with corporate policies and industry regulations.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • In-depth knowledge of AC and DC electrical generation and power distribution systems.
  • Understanding of the commissioning process and its significance within the broader business context.
  • Familiarity with safety controls and procedures in high-risk environments.
  • Experience with distribution systems, fire protection systems, and electrical testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation systems, including electrostatic discharge, low voltage control, data communications, and PLCs.
