Job Details

This is a part-time teaching assistant position available in our school. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the teaching staff in the early years, key stage 1, and key stage 2 classrooms.

Job Role
  • Supporting the teaching staff in the early years, key stage 1, and key stage 2 classrooms

Key Stage

The successful candidate will be working with children in the early years, key stage 1, and key stage 2.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time position, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Contract Type

This is a fixed-term contract, covering maternity or parental leave.

Actual Salary

The salary for this position will be £23,114 to £23,893 per annum, pro rata, depending on the number of hours worked.

RequirementsEssential Skills and Experience
  • A good standard of written and numeracy skills
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to use basic technology to support the role
  • Ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Completion of the DfES Teacher Assistant Induction Programme, or equivalent
  • Working with or caring for children of relevant age
  • Understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
  • Emergency First Aid or First Aid at Work qualification
  • Previous experience of working with young people, preferably in a school setting
