Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our team in Yorkshire, UK. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and safe operation of our Fulfilment Centres, ensuring high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a High-Performing Team: Manage a team of professionals to achieve operational excellence, driving productivity and quality improvements.
  2. Analyse and Improve Processes: Conduct thorough analysis of operational processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  3. Drive Safety and Wellbeing: Foster a culture of safety and wellbeing within the team, ensuring a safe working environment and promoting employee health and wellbeing.
  4. Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices, ensuring consistency and best practices across the organization.
  5. Optimize Productivity: Analyze shift performance against business objectives, implementing actions to improve operational excellence and drive productivity.
A Day in the Life

As an Area Manager, you will work on a shift pattern at one of our Fulfilment Centres, overseeing the efficient operation of the site. Your main focus will be to drive a culture of safety and quality, while optimizing productivity and improving processes. You will also be responsible for collaborating with colleagues to standardize shift practices and drive business excellence.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree: A degree in a relevant field, such as business, operations, or logistics.
  2. Relevant Experience: Proven experience in people management, data analysis, and process improvement.
  3. Advanced Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Lean and Six Sigma: Experience working with Lean and Six Sigma techniques, including process improvement and quality management.
  2. Logistics Experience: Experience working in a logistics environment, including supply chain management and transportation concepts.
  3. MS Office Suite: Proficiency in using the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
