We focus on maintaining and enhancing technologies within the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.
Role Purpose:
We are in search of enthusiastic, customer-oriented individuals to join us as Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technicians. The primary objective of this role is to uphold safety standards, ensure timely preventative maintenance, and maximize equipment availability through ongoing improvements.
Shift Pattern:
This position requires flexibility to work non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exemplify health and safety best practices and ensure compliance among team members.
- Engage in hands-on work and demonstrate expertise in all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) within the facility.
- Guide and mentor technicians on duty.
- Ensure high equipment availability for internal customers through effective troubleshooting and prioritization.
- Support the continuous improvement of systems uniformly across the EU network.
- Foster positive working relationships at all organizational levels.
- Understand Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and equipment performance metrics.
- Oversee contractor management.
- Coach operational teams on the proper use of equipment.
- Provide on-site support and manage high-severity issues.
- Coordinate escalations to specialized subcontractors as necessary.
- Manage critical spare parts inventory using the EAM system.
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance for all MHE equipment on-site.
Basic Qualifications:
- Completion of a full engineering apprenticeship and/or a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines with relevant experience in automation or complex MHE environments.
- Strong foundational knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for proactive maintenance planning and reactive task recording.
- Familiarity with statutory compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and influence team members.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple projects and workloads simultaneously.
- Experience in managing multiple contractors.
- Experience in a multi-site operational environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting building equipment such as HVAC, dock doors, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks.
- Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, BSc, or BEng qualifications.
