Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of care staff to provide high-quality care and support to children with complex needs.
- Develop and implement individual care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, therapists, and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Provide training and support to care staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make adjustments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including the Children's Act and the Care Standards Act.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of care policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in childcare or social work, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a residential care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
