Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Governance Analyst to enhance the quality, management, and security of business-critical data. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data governance, data management, data quality, data cataloging, and SQL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Governance: Develop and implement data standards, policies, practices, and procedures to ensure data integrity, compliance, and availability.
  • Issue Identification and Resolution: Identify data-related issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
  • Business-Technology Liaison: Serve as a liaison between Business and technology to ensure that data-related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, prioritized, and actioned.
  • Data Review and Audit: Review and audit data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Data Management and Governance: Assist in data management, governance, and data quality of master data requirements with other functional data owners.
  • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage, and data flow diagrams. Provide support for data governance initiatives, such as data cataloging using Collibra or similar tools. Conduct training sessions and workshops on data governance practices and principles.
  • Metrics and Dashboards: Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to develop metrics and dashboards for data quality.
  • Program Strategies and Roadmaps: Participate in the development and support of data governance program strategies, roadmaps, and project plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Quality.
  • Proven experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Experience with Collibra or other data cataloging tools.
  • Experience with Data Quality tools, e.g., Ataccama, IDQ, Collibra, etc.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience with database management systems.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree is required; master's degree is desired.
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
