About the Opportunity

We are excited to be working with a rapidly growing, privately owned organization that is embarking on a new phase of its growth journey. With a strong foundation and employee base in Middlesbrough, they continue to invest in local communities and develop strong employment opportunities.

This is a brand new role within the organization, and it will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's people strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on all people-related activities across the group, as well as being a trusted advisor to the owners and senior leadership team.

The ideal candidate will have the capability and ambition to take on a broader role as the organization expands and be adaptable to respond to the changing needs of the division within the group. Key elements of the role include:

  • Developing consistent tools and processes across the group that embrace the differences within each division.
  • Creating and embedding performance management tools and frameworks to drive high performance.
  • Establishing robust policies and processes and effective ways of working.
  • Supporting future acquisitions and integration activity.
  • Developing leadership and management capability to support future growth ambitions.
  • Creating a solid EVP that attracts, retains, develops, and rewards talent for the group.
  • Establishing a robust reward framework that suits the needs of all employees.


Hybrid working with 2-3 days per week in Middlesbrough. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their experience of creating something from scratch through to developing future strategic goals. They will also be comfortable working with business owners, investors, colleagues, and communities, and will be self-sufficient and fully autonomous in this role.
