Electrical Maintenance Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our client's team in Sheffield on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience working in heavy industry, particularly in automation and process controls. The role involves supervising and carrying out maintenance work activities, planning and executing electrical maintenance, and supervising a small team of technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and carry out maintenance work activities
  • Plan and execute electrical maintenance
  • Supervise a small team of technicians
  • Preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Fault finding and diagnostics
  • Testing of equipment and systems
  • Respond to call outs during business hours and outside of this where required
  • Control, maintenance, and repair of PLC, SCADA, HMI, and Drives
  • Attend daily and weekly meetings to discuss workload and plan corrective actions
  • Feedback data entry to establish maintenance KPIs
  • Assist in creating and maintaining the department budget and finance objectives
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities across the site

Requirements:

  • Time Served or HNC in Electrical Engineering disciplines
  • Proven track record of working in heavy industry with supervisory experience
  • Experience in installing electrical control systems, including AC/DC drives, variable frequency drives, closed loop control with positioning systems
  • Experience with monitoring equipment, installation, and commissioning of vibration and temperature detection
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, process, and control diagrams

  • 40 hours per week, 2 shift pattern
