School Catering Assistant Opportunity

The Supply Register Ltd is seeking an experienced and passionate Catering Assistant to join our team in Leeds. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional meals to students, working closely with the cook and other kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support with food preparation, serving, and cleaning duties.
  • Work to maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, adhering to HSE requirements.
  • Ensure food is prepared with consideration for special dietary requirements and allergies.
  • Assist with recipe costing, stock control, and record keeping.
  • Develop strong communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and build positive relationships with students and the school team.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by the Catering Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a catering or busy kitchen environment, with a strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build rapport with students and staff.
  • A can-do attitude and enthusiasm for providing high-quality meals and exceptional customer service.
