About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capital Projects Director to lead our Capital Works function at Oasis Community Learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our capital works strategy, managing a portfolio of projects across our 52 academies, and leading a small team of dedicated capital project managers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with experience in quantity surveying, cost management, contract management, procurement, and project management. They will also have a proven track record of delivering minor works through to £multi-million new developments, and experience of building effective teams made up of in-house and contracted support.

The Capital Projects Director will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing our capital works strategy
  • Managing a portfolio of projects across our 52 academies
  • Leading a small team of dedicated capital project managers
  • Providing strategic guidance and support to our academies on capital projects
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. They will be able to articulate the benefits of sustainability to key stakeholders, and have a proven track record of influencing and advising senior leaders.
