  • Ensure trained personnel support key EHS responsibilities, including roles such as EHS representative, Fire Warden, First Aiders, Spill Responder, and Incident Controller.
  • Implement safe systems of work for all tasks, both planned and unplanned, utilizing risk assessments with integrated control measures through engineering solutions, PPE requirements, or procedural controls.

Quality Assurance:

  • Guarantee that operations adhere to the Quality Management System.
  • Maintain site readiness for audits, including regulatory, internal, and customer evaluations.
  • Ensure comprehensive training for all personnel.

Customer Engagement:

  • Maintain a clear understanding of site capacity to support the commercial objectives of the organization.
  • Accountable for establishing a flexible, trained, and agile workforce, ensuring all staff are proficient and adequately cross-trained to meet business demands.
  • Drive exceptional performance through a structured accountability process and effective problem-solving methodologies.
  • Enhance performance daily through personal commitment, collaboration with peers, and mentorship of team members.

Financial Oversight:

  • Lead site expenditures to align with budgetary and financial goals, managing a budget of approximately £2M.
  • Ensure a robust improvement program is in place to enhance key metrics related to safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and secure business approval for capital investments aimed at improving compliance, operational efficiency, and productivity.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise a team of approximately 65 individuals, including direct reports and team leaders across various functions.
  • Provide mentorship to promote outstanding performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and support.
  • Conduct all responsibilities in a safe manner, adhering to the company's Code of Conduct and core values.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and their practical application in the workplace, supported by an IOSH qualification.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GMP and Quality Management Systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical sectors.
