Product Development Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our R&D department in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of innovative products, working closely with our engineering teams to design, develop, and launch new products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and implement engineering design change requests
  • Use 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and Keytech PLM software to prepare, maintain, and revision control of 3D CAD models, drawings, and BOMs
  • Re-draw legacy AutoCAD designs in SolidWorks and update and correct modeling errors in legacy SolidWorks drawings
  • Oversee validation testing and new product development
  • Provide technical assistance during the manufacturing process and liaise with various engineering departments
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in mechanical engineering, production engineering, aerospace engineering, automotive engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar
  • 3D CAD experience – Preferably Solidworks but others will be considered
  • Awareness of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Industrial/post-graduate design experience beneficial
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary: £34,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus scheme
  • Pension – 5%
  • Flexi hours – Monday – Thursday with a half day on Friday. 37.5 hours per week
  • Hybrid working available with the option of working from home 2 days per week after a 3-month qualifying period
