At Age UK, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to join our Ashby (Scunthorpe) team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our Store Manager in all aspects of the business, including guiding and supporting our valued team of Sales Assistants and volunteers, while ensuring customers receive an exceptional shopping experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Shop Manager to achieve business objectives
  • Lifting and carrying bags of stock up to 10kg
  • Leading a team of volunteers and staff
  • Delegating and coaching staff
  • Providing excellent customer service skills
  • Managing time under conflicting priorities
  • IT literacy and numeracy skills

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Understanding and establishing successful retail processes
  • Basic financial report analysis
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
