Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Database Engineer to join our Database Platform Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of databases across the business, housing large quantities of financial data and delivering critical information for significant business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement databases to meet the evolving needs of the business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems
  • Develop and maintain high-quality database solutions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
  • Work closely with the Database Platform Team to ensure consistency and best practices across the organization

Requirements

  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL, with a deep understanding of its capabilities and limitations
  • Proficiency in working with cloud-based platforms, particularly AWS
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in developing scalable and efficient database solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
